COMPANY PROFILE

Robert H. Ellis, Ph.D. is the President and principal scientist for EES.  Dr. Ellis is a fisheries biologist/aquatic ecologist with over 25 years of experience.  During the past 15 years, he has conducted and/or managed over 100 environmental studies in the Pacific Northwest, many of which involved not only technical analyses and reporting but dialogue with regulatory agencies and public involvement.  He has managed projects for Weyerhaeuser, AMAX, City of Portland, City of Klamath Falls, Mobil Oil Corporation, and  Houston Oil and Minerals.  Dr Ellis has certificates of completion from the Wetland Training Institute, Inc. for the Wetland Delineation and Wetland Delineation Practicum courses, IFIM Field Techniques Course, and has been a certified SCUBA diver since 1972.

To meet client's requirements for cost effective, comprehensive coverage of the aquatic sciences, EES has established a network of associates that can be used on an "as-needed" basis.  Most of these associates are independent consultants that provide specialized services at very reasonable rates.  The majority of EES's technician-level work is conducted by part-time employees who work on an on-call basis.  All of EES's part-time staff are experienced field personnel and have had appropriate training in biological and water quality  sampling  procedures.

EES has the latest computer hardware, software and printers for preparation of professional reports. Available field equipment includes sampling nets, Smith-Root Model 12 backpack electrofisher, 14-ft boat and motor, water sampling equipment, field tapes, quantitative and qualitative aquatic macroinvertebrate samplers, and sediment sampler.  A Smith-Root electrofishing boat and a 22 ft. aluminum workboat equipped with a davit also are available.
